Travels in Guatemala and Honduras:
Hola nuestros amigos!
We are both shattered after 48 hours on various forms of chicken buses that finally took us across the Honduran border and into Nicaragua. I think we both lost at least five kilograms just from sitting in un air-conditioned buses during days of 40 degrees and plus.
Since writing last we have left Guatemala, left our life in Xela, our surrogate mother and our five hours of daily Spanish lessons. We have since spent our time checking out live volcanoes, living by a beautiful lake, doing a couple of food drops, watching crazy religious parades, chilling out on the second largest coral reef in the world and sipping pina coladas while the sun sets. Tough life hey?
Now for some photos......

Food drops at Santiago village (these kids carried about 20, 50kg bags of corn each, all for a can of coke and a packet of chips - Andrew couldn´t walk properly for days after carrying these same bags)
Religious parade in Antigua (around 90 people carry Jesus from dawn till dusk)
The same parade six hours later.

Fun with dolphins in Roatan

Fun with dolphins in RoatanI sent Alice off on her own for one day and she made friends with a local dolphin trainer. The guy was very nice to Alice and offered her a free tour of the dolphin park and an opportunity to swim with the dolphins (which normally costs US$100 per person). Unfortunately for the local, Alice returned with me in tow, strangely the dolphin trainer was not as warm with me around, but despite this we both still were able to swim with the dolphins. From now on I will be sending Alice out on her own!!!
So thats it from us for now, we have about another three weeks in Central America before we head off to South America, many good times ahead. Keep up the emails we love hearing your news!
Lots of love, Andres y Alicia xoxox
